Mavi has regularly submitted its reports to CDP, the world’s largest environmental disclosure platform, since 2020. Mavi’s ambition is to maintain and further improve its scores in CDP, which rates the companies’ environmental performance and corporate transparency across climate change, water security and forests:
- Mavi became the first and only Turkish apparel company to submit its reporting to CDP’s Climate Change program and earned a score of B.
- Mavi also submitted its first reports to the Water Security and Forests programs in addition to Climate Change reporting, earning scores of C, C, and B, respectively. Mavi was also the first and only Turkish company to submit its Forests reporting.
- Mavi became the first and only Turkish apparel company to make the CDP’s Global A list with its Climate Change reporting. Mavi’s Water Security and Forests scores were B, well above the industry averages.
- Mavi became the first and only Turkish apparel company to make the CDP’s A list with a double A score with its Climate Change and Water Security reporting, ranking among the global leaders. Mavi also earned a score of B in the Forests program, outperforming the industry average.
Only 2% of the 21 thousand companies worldwide that respond to CDP, which aims to change how businesses operate to mitigate the impacts of climate change, made the A List this year, becoming the climate leaders of 2023.
